Saturday, September 11, 2010 Benefiting Registration The ride will begin at 300 Eagle City Rd. Springfield, Ohio. Riders can begin any of the three tour route options between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. (see Routes). Pre-Registration is strongly recommended and is required for all registrants interested in purchasing a Kenton Caper T-shirt. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, August 11, 2010. Sign-In/Same Day Registration Those who are pre-registered and those registering the day of the event should check in at the registration tent (at Splash Zone) at least 30 minutes prior to desired departure time. The registration tent will open at 8:00 but riders who depart prior to 8:30 a.m. will not have safety coverage. Routes: The choice of 8, 22, or 36-mile routes make this the ideal tour for both the novice and the experienced rider. The 8-mile and 22-mile route follow the Simon Kenton Trail Bike Path north from Clark County into Champaign County. These two routes are flat. The 36 mile route will in part follow the Simon Kenton Trail Bike Path as well as less-traveled roads in Clark and Champaign counties. This route is flat to rolling with a few hills. Safety Coverage: SAG services will be available for emergencies or non-repairable breakdowns. Volunteers with cell phones will also be at each snack stop. |
